Job Description

**Quality Management Professional Opportunity**

The QNX Software Systems Quality and Process Management team is expanding and we're seeking a skilled quality system professional to join us. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in software quality standards, models, and processes to contribute to quality and functional safety certifications in various industries such as automotive, industrial, rail, medical, A&D, among others.

The role involves a wide range of tasks to enhance the company's certified Quality Management System (QMS), including quality assurance activities, internal audits, and process engineering support for continuous improvement initiatives. We are looking for an individual with a collaborative mindset, a passion for driving successful outcomes, a strong commitment to quality, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the QNX Software Systems Quality Manager to enhance the Quality Management Systems (QMS) for ISO 9001 compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement and advocate for a culture of quality and safety
  • Work closely with development and product management teams to balance safety, quality, and commercial requirements for various industries
  • Conduct quality assurance audits for QNX software projects
  • Perform Functional Safety Audits and Confirmation Reviews for software safety projects
  • Assist in internal and external ISO 9001:2015 quality audits
  • Contribute to responses on Quality and process in RFPs and customer inquiries
  • Support software development teams in quality and product life-cycle management
  • Coordinate with the Safety Manager to ensure QMS aligns with functional safety certification standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of multifaceted experience in the technology sector, specifically in software development environments focusing on quality and project management
  • Relevant technology-related degree
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach
  • Experience in Requirements Management, Configuration Management, SW Development process models, Quality Management Systems, and Product Life Cycle models
  • Prior hands-on experience in software development phases
  • Proficient negotiation skills

Specialized Skills

  • Hands-on experience in implementing software development organizations' compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, etc.
  • Experience in Management System auditing, preferably with ISO 9001
  • ASPICE experience or competent assessor status is a plus
  • Proficiency in software quality management systems and quality control tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and pragmatic approach to issue identification
  • Efficient time management skills for handling multiple projects simultaneously
