We're seeking a skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our team at EllisDon, a leading construction company. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial data to ensure positive cash flow for projects.
- Provide technical engineering information to employees and subcontractors to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and specifications.
- Assist in plan and specification analysis to provide clear, trackable, and coordinated interpretations of designs and drawings for construction.
- Evaluate and solve potential field problems and report them to the Project Manager.
- Understand and perform document control functions, including tracking and creating RFIs, transmitting and tracking submittals, composing agreements, and maintaining project expediting lists.
Requirements:
- Civil construction-related degree and 2-4 years of civil earthworks experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- 4-6 years of experience in heavy civil earthworks, road building, and underground utilities is an asset.
- Working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software.
- Ability to travel between multiple sites.
- Capacity to support the project team and help solve construction issues in time-sensitive situations.
