About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Energy Manager to join our team at the Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our energy management team, you will play a critical role in supporting our organization's commitment to reducing emissions and promoting sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and technical support for planning, designing, and operating thermal energy systems across our portfolio of buildings.
  • Support the development of and updates to our Strategic Energy Management plans and goals.
  • Perform technical reviews of capital project energy studies, feasibility reports, and proposals to ensure recommendations are accurate and aligned with our Strategic Energy Management goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify opportunities for energy and carbon reduction, and develop business cases for energy conservation projects.
  • Develop and implement effective conservation practices within our Facilities Management and Operations team.
  • Ensure alignment with our duties and goals as outlined in the Fortis BC Thermal Energy Manager agreement.
Requirements
  • Experience in corporate, commercial, and industrial energy management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of thermal energy systems and energy management practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
