Job Summary:

The Superintendent, Tomlinson Infrastructure, is a key member of our team, responsible for providing expertise, applying the latest technologies, and supervising qualified personnel. This position reports to the Operations Manager, enabling the Division to meet and address specifications and requirements from applicable agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure the success of our projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the moving of equipment and crews daily to ensure the correct equipment and crew are onsite when required.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Provide oversight to the field resources.
  • Attend site meetings, look-ahead meetings, and cost control meetings.
  • Develop and deliver evaluations and development plans with foremen.
  • Manage 6-10 foremen and crews.
  • Ensure quality control measures are undertaken during the course of the project.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that foster Tomlinson's leadership competencies.

Requirements:

  • Construction Engineering Technician, Civil Engineering Technologist, or similar.
  • 10+ years of industry experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated effective people management experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a construction industry environment.
  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
  • Work requires regular travel.
