Job Title: Commercial Garage Door Installer Helper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Garage Door Installer Helper to join our team at Overhead Door Corporation. As a key member of our installation crew, you will assist in the service and installation of overhead doors, working closely with our experienced technicians to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation and service of overhead doors, including sectional, rolling steel, high-speed, and specialty doors
  • Perform site assessments and identify potential issues to ensure smooth installation and service processes
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, construction project managers, customers, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
  • Participate in training and execution of welding for installation or repairs, as required
  • Complete all required paperwork, including timesheets and daily reports, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Transport products on trailers and manlifts to and from sites safely
  • Attend daily safety meetings and participate in ongoing training to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Perform general warehouse duties, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-6 months' experience in a relevant trade, such as construction, welding, or millwright
  • Resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Any relevant safety training and tickets, such as WHMIS, Fall Protection, and First Aid, are an asset
  • Knowledge of overhead doors and related equipment is an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more, depending on job scope
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug, alcohol, and health assessments
