About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Etro Construction Limited. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Bidding
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
    • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of construction costs, including labour, materials, and equipment
    • Prepare and submit pre-qualification submissions to clients
  • Project Analysis
    • Review and analyze project blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
    • Identify and assess potential project risks and opportunities
  • Estimate Preparation
    • Utilize computer software systems, including CADD, to prepare estimates and reports
    • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
    • Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to clients
    • Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Contract Administration
    • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project profitability
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
