Director of Care

At Humans of HR, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Care to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directing and mentoring care staff to ensure resident-focused care is achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to the resident's short- and long-term requirements
- Monitor and evaluate care plans for effectiveness and changing care needs, ensuring timely action is taken
- Provide a safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Ensure schedules and work assignments meet or exceed provincial and legal requirements for professional nursing and other care-related services
- Lead and direct staff involved in the provision of continuing care, fostering new initiatives and interpreting care-related policies and procedures
- Share information and participate in multi-site committees to develop and implement best practices throughout the organization
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a management position with seniors in a long-term care setting
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and current active registration with the BC College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) as an RN or LPN
- Sound financial management skills and understanding of funding in a residential care setting
- Ability to plan, direct, and control the delivery of multi-faceted care services
- Extensive knowledge of the Community Care Facility Act, Adult Care Regulations, and Multilevel
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors
What We Offer:
At Humans of HR, we support the development and growth of our candidates to reach their full potential. We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 and multiple payroll opportunities across the lower mainland.
