Pro Vita Care Management Inc. is a leading provider of long-term care services, committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Care to join our team at our North Vancouver facility.
About the RoleThe Director of Care will play a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical operations within our facility. This leadership position requires a hands-on approach to managing care staff, ensuring high standards of nursing practices, and fostering a safe, homelike environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities- Staff recruitment and performance evaluations
- Develop quality improvement goals
- Ensure adherence to infection control practices
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations
- Provides direct nursing care, including administration of medications and medical treatments
- Ensure all Clinical and Human Resource audits are completed
- Current nursing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP)
- Undergraduate degree in health sciences or related field; postgraduate courses in Gerontology are an asset
- Three to five years of progressive leadership experience in clinical settings
- Proficiency in Health Informatics systems (e.g. Minimum Data Set (MDS), Gold Care or Point Click Care, eMar.) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work flexible hours as required (monitoring of evening and night shift and weekends)
