Senior Tax Consultant, US Private Enterprise

The Role
Our US Tax practice specializes in assisting owner-managed businesses and individuals with a comprehensive array of tax compliance and planning services, including Canadian cross-border considerations. We seek an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who values relationships in both business and community, aiming to enhance their reputation as a trusted advisor within our practice.
Key Responsibilities
Engage in a wide variety of intricate and demanding US tax assignments, necessitating extensive analysis and evaluation.Oversee the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, along with Canadian individual and cross-border tax submissions for a diverse clientele.Prepare or review US corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns for clients.Conduct research and analysis on various cross-border tax matters.Maintain and organize client files to ensure the accurate and timely completion of tax returns.Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a public accounting environment.Currently pursuing a US CPA designation, Enrolled Agent status, or a US Masters in Taxation.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Proven leadership and team collaboration abilities.Strong time management skills and self-driven.Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Eager to contribute to the development and execution of tax planning strategies for various clients.Willingness to acquire new skills through research on a range of tax issues.Outstanding client service capabilities with a knack for understanding clients' businesses and fostering strong relationships.KPMG BC Region Compensation Information
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $66,000 to $99,000, with potential eligibility for bonus incentives. The determination of an applicant's salary within this range is influenced by their location, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications. Additionally, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
