About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Granville- West Elm. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate a cash register, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, restocking shelves and ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
- Process returns and exchanges, resolving any issues in a fair and efficient manner.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring a cohesive and engaging store environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining store appearance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in retail.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Benefits
This role offers a competitive compensation package, including pay and benefits. Pay is based on several factors, including education, work experience, and geographic location. The anticipated pay range for this role is $17.80 - $18.80 per hour.
