About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Associate to join our team at Granville- West Elm. As a Stock Associate, you will be responsible for receiving shipments, accurately maintaining inventory records, and maintaining stockroom and off-site locations.

You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for:
- Exemplifying the highest level of customer service standards to internal and external customers
- Scanning shipments as delivered
- Ticketing and stocking merchandise in the stockroom or preparing it for immediate distribution to the sales floor
- Providing feedback to supervisors regarding inventory levels and damages
- Organizing stockroom by department and categories, and stocking merchandise on appropriate shelves or in off-site locations
- Adjusting stocking procedures to ensure aisles and exits are clear
- Ensuring that merchandise is safely stored, properly ticketed, packaged, and logged, and easily located for replenishment
- Packing and logging merchandise as required for customer deliveries
- Transporting merchandise to and from remote stockroom locations and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Ensuring that the stockroom is clean, swept, with garbage removed, and supplies organized
- Assisting on the sales floor during peak times and as assigned
- Completing tasks listed on the daily agenda or as assigned (maintenance of store, lighting, cleaning)
- Complying with all company policies and procedures
- Ensuring that all appropriate stockroom procedures are followed to minimize loss to the company

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a stockroom or related environment
- Basic product knowledge, although not required
- Effective time management skills to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- The ability to be mobile in the stockroom or on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- The ability to operate and read scanning equipment for extended periods
- The ability to lift and carry medium-to-large items, weighing up to 100 lbs., utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
Physical Requirements
This role requires:
- The ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- The ability to operate a POS system
- The ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 pounds, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
