Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at IHAUL FREIGHT SYSTEM INC. as a key member of our IT department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Administer Network Systems

Ensure the smooth operation of our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Evaluate and Install Network Hardware and Software

Assess and implement computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to meet the needs of our organization.

Provide Technical Support

Offer expert problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Perform Routine Network Maintenance

Conduct regular network start-up and close-down procedures, maintaining accurate control records.

Ensure Data Security and Backup

Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to safeguard our critical business data.

Configure Network Connections

Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.

Requirements
  • Education

College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.

Work Term

Permanent position.

Work Language

English.

Hours

40 hours per week.
