We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Stikeman Elliott. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Microsoft Enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Enterprise Architecture team to develop system designs and blueprints that align with our technology strategy.
- Deploy, test, and support our Microsoft Enterprise solutions, ensuring seamless integration with our cloud and on-prem environments.
- Plan and execute implementations, including coordinating activities with cross-functional teams.
- Manage and optimize workloads for our data center and cloud environments, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Design and implement cloud-hosted solutions using PaaS, IaaS, or SaaS, leveraging your expertise in Microsoft technologies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure effective planning, execution, and supportability of our systems.
- Work closely with our Security team to deploy and manage security solutions, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data.
- Provide ongoing management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Adhere to operational policies and processes that align with ITIL standards, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Participate in change control activities, ensuring minimal disruption to our systems and services.
- Conduct scheduled system maintenance activities, ensuring our systems remain up-to-date and secure.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of experience in IT as an Infrastructure Specialist, with a strong background in Microsoft Enterprise solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles and fundamentals, with experience in implementing security solutions.
- 3-5 years of experience with Nutanix configuration and ongoing support maintenance.
- MCSE Certification or equivalent experience, with expertise in Microsoft Windows Server 2019+ and Azure Fundamentals.
- Experience with device management using Windows Intune and Microsoft IAM.
- Knowledge of non-Microsoft technologies such as CommVault, Veeam, Cisco, Juniper, VMWare, and Zerto.
- Proven experience in cloud and on-prem automation, with expertise in PowerShell and Python scripting.
- Strong business writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills and team orientation, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and self-sufficient, with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality.
