About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Oeuvre David Déziel. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents in a nursing home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompanying Residents: Escort residents on outdoor recreational activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Patient Care and Comfort: Perform various duties related to patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meal Service and Room Maintenance: Serve meal trays, feed patients, and maintain patients' rooms to a high standard.
  • Transportation and First Aid: Transport residents in wheelchairs or stretchers and administer first aid in emergency situations.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Housekeeping and Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Training: Possess Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training and a valid CPR Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Undergo a criminal record check and maintain confidentiality.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate client focus, dependability, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, reliability, and patience.
