The AVI Community-Led Crisis Response Team (CLCR) is a peer-assisted care initiative funded by provincial and national health organizations. This mobile crisis response team is composed of individuals with lived experience and mental health professionals who specialize in crisis de-escalation and the development of community care plans for those in distress.

The CLCR Team represents an innovative approach to crisis intervention, emphasizing health, well-being, and community support. By employing a community-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed methodology, our peer-assisted model has demonstrated effectiveness in helping individuals navigate mental health and social care services while minimizing interactions with the justice system and emergency services.

The CLCR team operates on the traditional territories of the Ləkwəŋən peoples (Esquimalt and Songhees nations).
