About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Specialist to join our team at Lidl Wholesale Ltd. as a key member of our procurement department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for product development and procurement.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives and drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product flow and efficient inventory management.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to inform purchasing decisions and optimize product offerings.
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms with suppliers to maximize value for the company.
  • Review and analyze product requirements to determine optimal quantities and types of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Supervise a team of 1-2 people to ensure effective execution of procurement tasks and goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in merchandising and procurement.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
  • Business acumen and understanding of market trends.
Work Environment

This role is based in a wholesale establishment/store environment, with public transportation available.
