About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandiser to join our team at SUNFOOD MARKET INC. as a Product Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing merchandise for our retail business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Acquisition: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Inventory Management: Review requirements of our establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Merchandise Selection: Select and purchase merchandise for resale, considering factors such as market trends and customer demand.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise the work of other buyers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Language: Proficient in English.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, and a team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Transportation: Own transportation required.
