Cleaning Operations Manager

TSS Janitorial is seeking a skilled Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit and train a team of cleaning staff to ensure our facilities are cleaned to the highest standards.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
- Inspect Sites: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure our facilities meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services are required, such as painting or repairs, and recommend these to our management team.
- Maintain Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records of our cleaning operations, including staff hours and materials used.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a cleaning or maintenance role.
- Work Setting: Cleaning service company.
- Tasks: Hire and train staff, supervise and coordinate activities, inspect sites, recommend additional services, maintain financial records, and assist cleaners in performing duties.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Our cleaning operations are fast-paced and require a high level of energy and attention to detail.
- Repetitive Tasks: Cleaning tasks can be repetitive, but we require our staff to maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Physical Capabilities: Our staff must be able to bend, crouch, and kneel to perform cleaning tasks.
- Dependability: We require our staff to be dependable and reliable in their work.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Our staff must have efficient interpersonal skills to work effectively with our team and clients.
- Initiative: We require our staff to take initiative and solve problems independently.
- Judgement: Our staff must have good judgement to make decisions that impact our operations.
- Mentorship Programs: We offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- On-the-Job Training: We offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Mentorship Opportunities: We offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, mature workers, and visible minorities.
