Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Discount Trucking & Construction Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations to ensure efficient transportation.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience as a Truck Driver is an asset.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), and a valid driver's license.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and sitting for extended periods.
