Job Summary:
The Town of Blackfalds is seeking a Casual Children Services Attendant to provide supervision and create engaging activities for children in our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute activities for child-minding and day camp programs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all children.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, enforcing facility guidelines and rules as necessary.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain program equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and suitable for use.
Requirements & Skills:
- Belief in the potential of all children and a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and games, with the ability to plan and execute engaging programs.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Certificate/Diploma in Recreation or a related field, with experience working with children.
Additional Requirements:
- Standard First Aid with CPR and AED certification.
- Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check.
- Valid Driver's License.
Casual hours available, with a starting hourly wage of $19.37.
