The Geotechnical Engineering Group at Pinchin is a growing practice, newly integrated into our service offerings to deliver top-notch geoscience engineering solutions to meet the evolving demands of the market. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical engineering assessments, including soil and bedrock design, slope stability evaluations, and earth retention system analysis.
- Coordinate schedules and meetings with clients and contractors.
- Delegate tasks to field personnel based on workload and in collaboration with senior management.
- Draft contract documents, proposals, and detailed reports.
- Advise clients on relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Engage with clients to ascertain project specifications.
- Drive business development and marketing efforts for both new and existing clients.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering or a related field, along with relevant experience.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a geotechnical engineering capacity.
- A Professional Engineering designation in British Columbia or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in the province.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams across various departments, including Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation.
- Prior experience in consulting engineering or construction is advantageous.
- Strong presentation skills to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and management.
- Proficient technical writing skills for preparing geotechnical reports and correspondence.
- A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required, with travel expenses reimbursed.
