About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Care Aide to join our team at Comfort Keepers Kelowna. As a key member of our home care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Household Management: Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and participate in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Medication Reminders: Assist clients with taking their medications as prescribed.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing linens.
  • Errands: Accompany clients on errands such as grocery shopping and banking.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
Work Environment

As a Registered Care Aide with Comfort Keepers Kelowna, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of clients. You will be required to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time. You must be able to distinguish between colors and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
