Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Bookkeeper to join our team at Shadforth Business Services. As an Accounting Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as reconcile payroll accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Accounting Software: Maintain and update accounting software, including Caseware/Caseview, MS Excel, and Quick Books.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent experience.
