**Williamson Automotive Group** is currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our team. Williamson Automotive has been a leading employer in the Uxbridge community for 74 years. We strive to provide a great team-based atmosphere and are actively involved in the community.

This is a **permanent, full-time** position, so we are hoping to find the right fit for our team, the role will be based out of our dealership located in **Uxbridge**, **Ontario **with some travel to **Lindsay, Ontario**.

The Intermediate Accountant will have a strong backing in accounting as well as excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the efficient processing and posting of vehicle sale and purchase transactions. **What you will do**:

- reconciliation and posting of new and pre-owned vehicle and dealer trade sales; record commissions including adjustments, flats, and bonuses and prepare and post monthly commissions
- reconcile monthly registered vehicle listing to sales posted
- post, reconcile, and remit all insurance and warranty payments
- ensure all vehicle and program receivables are in good standing
- prepare and reconcile weekly inventory schedules
- review of charges of all policy and delivery accounts
- posting journal entries and daily EFT
- post vehicle purchases
- prepare monthly floor plan reconciliation
- perform daily reconciliation of delivery log and payout of floorplan
- perform posting of funding amounts
- perform daily reconciliation of the bank
- reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
- maintain organized accounts payable files and records
- assist in month-end closing activities
- perform other duties as required/requested by management

**What you will need**:

- 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, or combination of education and experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Familiarity with invoicing and payment processing in the automotive industry is an asset
- Knowledge of PBS software or similar software
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, (Word, Excel)
- Motivated team player
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines.
- Must have a valid Ontario drivers license and ability to travel between two dealership locations.
