Global Transaction Services (GTS) acts as the transaction and payment engine of Scotiabank, delivering effective treasury management solutions to Small Business, Commercial, and Corporate clients. Our comprehensive suite of innovative banking solutions is designed to enhance operational efficiencies, streamline payment processes, and mitigate financial risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a customer-centric culture within the team to strengthen client relationships and leverage the Bank's resources.
- Ensure accurate verification of wire payment instructions received through various channels, utilizing in-depth knowledge of payment formatting.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and quality control measures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage daily workflows effectively, contributing to all payment queues to expedite processing.
- Clarify inconsistencies and review errors, contributing to the establishment of best practices to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Consider the Bank's risk appetite in daily operations and decision-making processes.
- Create a high-performance environment by implementing strategies that attract, retain, and develop talent within the team.
Qualifications:
- Proficient understanding of the Bank's operational processes to resolve issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of payment regulations, particularly regarding domestic and international wire transfers.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
