Role Summary:

In this role, you will report to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and High Performance Sport, while being supervised by the Manager of Intercollegiate Events and Engagement. Your primary responsibility will be to orchestrate a remarkable game day experience, with a focus on both individual and group ticket sales. The aim is to optimize revenue and explore new avenues for growth by analyzing data and adapting to emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by managing a variety of inquiries related to ticket sales from various stakeholders.
  • Ensure the accuracy of event details and pricing structures, providing constructive feedback on ticketing policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments and ticket vendors to facilitate seamless ticket sales operations.
  • Oversee the activities of casual staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance the overall ticketing experience.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise during ticket sales at events.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced College Diploma in sport management, event management, or a related field, or a combination of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in ticket sales within a dynamic athletic environment.
  • Proven experience in a customer service-oriented role.
  • Familiarity with computerized ticketing systems and point-of-sale technology.
  • Experience in creating promotional materials and assembling ticketing packages.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing casual staff within a team setting.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and the success of the University of Toronto's sports and recreation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices and trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, along with strong mathematical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Effective negotiation skills with the ability to influence and gain support.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of individuals.
