About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team at Raku Rice & Noodle Bar. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare menus, estimating food requirements and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including complete meals and individual items, to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage kitchen supplies and equipment.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work Setting

This is a permanent, full-time position with 35 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
