Roofing Specialist Job Overview

Join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (Nova Scotia) Inc. as a Roofing Specialist. This is a permanent position that offers a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install built-up roofing systems
  • Install single-ply roofing systems
  • Repair existing roofing systems
  • Apply waterproof coatings
  • Install and repair metal roofs
  • Install sheet metal flashings
  • Erect scaffolding as needed

Supervision: This role does not require supervision.

Construction Specialization: Roofing

Area of Specialization: Built-up systems, Modified roofing systems, Pre-formed roofing systems, Single-ply membrane roofing systems

Transportation/Travel Information: Candidates must have their own transportation, be willing to travel, and possess a valid driver's license.

Work Conditions: The role is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring good hand-eye coordination. Overtime may be required, and tasks can be repetitive.

Weight Handling: Ability to handle weights up to 100 lbs.

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots are required.

Personal Suitability: Dependability, reliability, and being a team player are essential qualities.

Screening Questions: Candidates must have the legal ability to work and reside in proximity to the work area, along with previous experience in roofing.
