Position: Shipping and Inventory Labourer
At ADI – Albert Davidson Industries, we pride ourselves on being a family-oriented organization specializing in the custom manufacturing of stainless-steel products. Our commitment to growth, development, and continuous improvement is at the core of our values.
We are seeking to fill the role of Shipping and Inventory Labourer, focusing on various operational tasks including inventory management, shipping, receiving, and maintenance.
Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and Friday from 6:00 am to noon.
Languages Required: Proficiency in English and French.
Compensation: Starting wage ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the inventory of raw materials including sheets, pipes, and profiles.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
- Prepare products for shipping.
- Package items for dispatch.
- Oversee the reception of incoming and outgoing products.
- Handle loading and unloading of trucks using plant cranes and forklifts.
- Perform basic cutting operations on profiles and pipes to specified dimensions.
Qualifications:
- Fundamental understanding of metal product manufacturing.
- Experience in a manufacturing plant, particularly with steel products.
- Ability to use measuring tools in both imperial and metric systems.
- Basic skills in reading manufacturing drawings for steel products.
- Familiarity with operating a bridge crane (5 tons) – training will be provided on-site.
- Basic forklift operation knowledge – training will be provided on-site.
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
