Job Title: Financial Aid Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Aid Officer to join our team at North American Trade Schools.

Job Summary:

The Financial Aid Officer will be responsible for implementing new administrative procedures, reviewing and evaluating existing procedures, and delegating work to office support staff. This role will also involve establishing work priorities, ensuring procedures are followed, and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement new administrative procedures and review existing ones to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Delegate work to office support staff and provide guidance and training as needed.
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation.
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services.
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Train staff and oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures.
  • Resolve conflict situations and monitor and evaluate office operations.
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic security clearance.
