About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Management Specialist to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As an Asset Management Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing asset management strategies, capital plans, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Management Strategy Development
    • Contribute to the development of asset management strategies, levels of service, and proposed levels of service.
    • Assist in the development of 10-25 year capital plans and define function requirements and technical standards for new asset management data systems and technologies.
  • Project Management and Implementation
    • Project manage and implement asset programs, including rehabilitation and replacement planning, inspections, data collection, and analysis.
    • Conduct infrastructure and special studies to determine infrastructure upgrade and replacement needs.
  • Data Management and Analysis
    • Consolidate data and information from service areas into corporate Asset Management templates and plans.
    • Develop asset management strategies and system design for asset management programming.
    • Review asset data information in asset data software and systems for quality assurance and identify improvement areas.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in all aspects of infrastructure asset management services.
    • Assist with the preparation of proposals for the provision of asset management services for public and private sector clients.
  • Learning and Development
    • Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.
    • Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • A degree in engineering.
    • Experience
      • Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
      • Certificate in asset management (IAM, NAMS, or PEMAC) preferred.
    • Skills and Knowledge
      • Knowledge of relational databases and computerized applications that relate to asset management of water, wastewater, environmental, infrastructure, and transportation projects.
      • Experience in the development and implementation of infrastructure asset data management systems for public and private sector clients.
      • Familiarity with operational, engineering, and financial processes in place at the municipal, provincial, and federal government level.
      • Experience in capital planning and financial management.
      • Demonstrated working experience with Ontario Regulation 588/17.
