About the Company

Forge Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specializing in the placement of legal professionals. Our client, a highly respected commercial insurance litigation firm in Toronto, is seeking an Associate Lawyer to join their growing Insurance Defence practice group.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Tort department to develop and manage Insurance Defence files, including independent carriage of files and support for senior counsel on complex matters. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the movement of files from inception to settlement or conclusion
  • Collaborating with senior counsel to develop and implement effective case strategies
  • Providing exceptional client service and communication

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 4+ years of post-call experience working on insurance defence tort files
  • Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

  • A strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and act as a zealous advocate on behalf of clients
