Position Overview

BMV Optical Technologies Inc. is seeking a dedicated Optical Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality optical products and services.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is required.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in an ophthalmic or optical laboratory, where precision and attention to detail are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments.
  • Set up and dismantle optical equipment as needed.
  • Organize and maintain an efficient inventory system.
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs on optical devices.
  • Cut and edge lenses, fitting them into frames accurately.
  • Coordinate grinding or polishing of lenses or perform these tasks as required.
Experience and Skills

Applicants should have:

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in the optical field.
  • Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A focus on client satisfaction and dependability.
Physical Requirements

This role demands:

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a physically demanding environment.
  • Flexibility to engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
