About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispensing Medications: You will be responsible for dispensing prescribed medications to patients, ensuring that they receive the correct medication and dosage.
  • Medication Management: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate medication profiles, including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs.
  • Quality Control: You will be responsible for ensuring that medications meet standards of potency, purity, uniformity, stability, and safety.
  • Labelling and Packaging: You will be responsible for evaluating labelling, packaging, and advertising of drug products.
  • Clinical Decision Making: You will be responsible for making clinical decisions regarding medication therapy, including evaluating patient responses to medications and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is an asset.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are required.
