Job Title: Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at the Northern Health Region.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescribed pharmaceuticals, maintaining stock of pharmaceutical supplies, and ensuring the quality of drug products. They will also be required to evaluate labelling, packaging, and advertising of drug products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies and ensure they are ordered and stored properly
  • Check prescriptions for proper dosage and ensure the quality of drug products
  • Maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
  • Evaluate labelling, packaging, and advertising of drug products to ensure they meet standards of potency, purity, uniformity, stability, and safety
Requirements:
  • Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is an asset
