The Opportunity

At QuidelOrtho, we are a world-leading in vitro diagnostics company with a strong presence in over 130 countries. Our mission is to transform the power of diagnostics into a healthier future for all. We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team in the Atlantic Province and Eastern Quebec territory.

The Role

The Account Manager will be responsible for attaining sales and market share objectives, effectively managing the territory, and executing national, regional, and local promotional activities and programs for assigned products and therapeutic areas. This role requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a home office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Attain sales and market share objectives and effectively manage the territory.
  2. Execute national, regional, and local promotional activities and programs for assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  3. Expand the menu and book of business within current customer accounts.
  4. Work cross-functionally with internal colleagues to provide best-in-class sales experience and support.
  5. Utilize competitive, customer, and product knowledge to identify new leads and re-sign existing customers to new long-term products.
  6. Deliver insightful sales messages that enable customers to achieve their defined business and technical goals.
  7. Work cross-functionally with internal colleagues and peers to share information and best practices.
  8. Deliver financial and technical presentations to stakeholders within the hospital system.
  9. Assist in coordinating customer attendance and conducting system demonstrations/presentations.
  10. Attain reagent revenue and growth objectives through menu addition and focus on key lines of business.
  11. Attain instrument and service revenue objectives.
  12. Manage key relationships in the account.
  13. Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs, and environmental/market changes.
  14. Identify leads in competitive accounts and in current customers.
  15. Effectively balance the quality and quantity of new sales opportunities and use this information to drive sales and accurately forecast future sales.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Science, or related field.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Functional understanding of the Canadian healthcare market and changes within the industry.
  • High achievement drive with a focus on learning, achieving, and growing as a diagnostic sales professional.
  • Ability to travel 50% both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of sales experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience selling both diagnostics and capital equipment.
  • Experience with strategic selling and RFP bids.
  • Experience with CRM or salesforce.com.
