Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator to join our team at Kay-Son Steel Fabricators Ltd. As a Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for laying out reference points and patterns, assembling and fitting plates and sections to form structures, and welding or bolting sections together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, using a combination of welding and bolting techniques
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, such as brakes and presses
  • Construct patterns and templates to guide fabrication processes
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring precision and quality
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, using specialized equipment
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in steel fabrication
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
