Job Title: Personal Support Worker-RCC, FT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at North York General Hospital's Reactivation Care Centre. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist nursing personnel in providing personal care to residents, including hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
  • Perform direct and indirect patient care activities in accordance with the Interprofessional Care Plan.
  • Support patients' independence, dignity, social, emotional, and cultural well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with elderly patients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a College of Applied Arts and Technology.
  • 1-2 years of experience in inpatient Geriatric/Rehab or Long-Term Care.
  • Experience working with patients with cognitive impairment/dementia and responsive behaviors preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Control Practices.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time regular position with 8 and 12-hour shifts, days, evenings, nights, and weekends in the Reactivation Care Centre Unit 4 & 5 at 555 Finch Ave W.
