Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Reliability Engineer to join our team at TEEMA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead RCFA investigations to identify the root cause of electrical equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  2. Develop and refine predictive and preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  3. Collaborate with the Capital Engineering team to identify and implement reliability improvement projects.
  4. Conduct FMEAs to identify potential failure modes and develop mitigation strategies.
  5. Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures for critical electrical work.
  6. Provide technical support for power and control issues and develop work procedures and standards.
Requirements
  1. P-Eng required or actively working towards P-Eng designation.
  2. Instrumentation and Controls background with experience in PLC, DCS, and Electrical systems.
  3. Knowledge of large motor, construction, and maintenance requirements.
  4. Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work as a leader in a team and collaborate with various Electrical Reliability Projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Power Distribution relaying and coordination knowledge.
  2. Turbine Generator and Voltage Regulator experience.
  3. Power distribution modeling software knowledge.
  4. Experience with power distribution, power drives, and instrumentation.
Physical Demands
  1. Must be able to wear all required safety equipment.
  2. Access confined space entries for RCFA investigations.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or CET with the equivalent combination of demonstrated skill and work experience.
  2. Registration with APEGA is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy industrial maintenance.
  4. Strong Electrical aptitude.
  5. Experience with PLC/DCS operations and logic.
