Job Title: Hardware Store Clerk

Rivest et fils St-Félix is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Hardware Store Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient inventory management.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on merchandise, including product features, benefits, and applications.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records and support business operations.
  • Assist in the display of merchandise to create an attractive and engaging shopping environment.
  • Greet customers and discuss their needs, providing personalized service and support.
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease, ensuring accurate processing and handling.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, standing for extended periods and handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of merchandise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a team environment.
