Job Title: Hardware Store Clerk

Rivest et fils St-Félix is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Hardware Store Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient inventory management.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on merchandise, including product features, benefits, and applications.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records and support business operations.
  • Assist customers with purchases, rentals, or leases, and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease, and ensure that products are properly displayed and maintained.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and perform tasks that require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Working Conditions:
  • Work in a retail environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions, depending on the location of the store.
Language:

French is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Schedule:

32 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
