Job Title: Hardware Store Clerk

Rivest et fils St-Félix is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Hardware Store Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient inventory management.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on merchandise, including product features, benefits, and applications.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records and support business operations.
  • Assist customers with purchases, rentals, or leases, and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the display of merchandise to create an attractive and inviting store environment.
  • Greet customers and discuss their needs, providing personalized recommendations and solutions.
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease, and ensure accurate processing of transactions.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on customer service and sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Adaptability, collaborative, and proactive approach to work, with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction.
Working Conditions:
  • Standing for extended periods, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Language:

French is the primary language of communication in this role.
