About the Role:

Navacord is seeking a seasoned and strategic Director, Talent Acquisition to lead our efforts in building a robust and efficient talent acquisition strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking leader with a proven track record in establishing large-scale recruitment efforts throughout an organization.

This role will be pivotal in supporting our national hiring goals by setting up the process and structure required to attract industry and non-industry talent, creating best practices for our candidate experience, and establishing Navacord and all of our Broker Partners as an employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the corporate and national talent acquisition strategy of hiring 500+ insurance professionals annually, including over 100+ Advisor hires across our broker partners.
  • Lead a collaborative and high-performing team environment for our team of Talent Acquisition Consultants focused on delivering exceptional results and proactively sourcing national talent.
  • Create and nurture a talent acquisition community of practice leads across our HR team to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Participate in our national One Culture Strategy Council and Chair the Diversifying Sales Talent sub-committee.
  • Educate and influence the business to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies are embedded in our recruitment tools, technology, and practices.
  • Establish a process to share best practices across our Broker Partners nationally.
  • Vet, assess, and implement a national applicant tracking system (ATS) technologies across our Broker Partners.
  • Determine additional talent attraction tools and technology that will increase our candidate experience, increase our prospect flow, and standardize the vendors used across the national portfolio.
  • Function as the primary stakeholder with third parties supporting the talent acquisition process, including LinkedIn, third-party recruiters, Predictive Index, and other vendors.
  • Create a preferred vendor contact list with applicable contract details to support the talent acquisition efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to enhance Navacord's employer brand, employee value proposition, and ensure consistent talent attraction messaging across all recruitment channels.
  • Develop resources, best practice guides, and interview support materials for the national HR group and presidents.
  • Provide training on hiring best practices to ensure consistency and excellence in recruitment across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other Navacord stakeholders to support talent acquisition efforts, which could include developing attractive total rewards offerings to secure top talent in the industry.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies and initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine talent acquisition processes to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies, technology, and tools to attract top talent, including leveraging social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
  • 10+ years leadership experience
  • 3+ years demonstrated leadership experience in a D&I role and strong awareness of current events and industry trends related to D&I
  • 3+ years experience interacting with executive teams
  • Evidence of developing and implementing industry-leading best practices
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to travel as needed to support national recruitment efforts
  • Experience in program or project management to facilitate cultural or transformational change, leading simultaneous activities or projects
