We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at Harbour Mortgage Corp. As a key member of our origination team, you will be responsible for underwriting commercial real estate mortgages across various asset classes.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the origination team to pre-screen and qualify new loan opportunities, ensuring efficient processing and timely decision-making.
- Prepare detailed analysis, term sheets, commitment letters, and credit submissions for bridge, construction, inventory, and high ratio loans.
- Organize and maintain up-to-date deal sheets, providing critical support in closing loan transactions.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate.
- Bilingual (French/English) with excellent written and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Effective communication skills to interact with brokers and other third-party referral sources.
