About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at Northbridge Financial Corporation. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for providing complete solutions for Canadian small businesses, working closely with broker partners to assess risks and make informed underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate commercial risks to determine insurance coverage
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with broker partners and internal stakeholders
  • Utilize technical skills to ensure accurate risk assessment and underwriting decisions
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced underwriters
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lines
  • Completed or pursuing CIP designation
  • Strong customer service background
  • Team-first mentality
  • Small Business experience is an asset
