We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mortgage Funder to join our Third Party Residential Underwriting team. As a Mortgage Funder, you will be responsible for instructing, advancing, and closing mortgage files in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct, advance and close mortgage files in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Verify accuracy of information, including lender and CMHC/Sagen/CG approval.
- Communicate with solicitors to confirm their authority and obtain necessary documentation.
- Prepare and send instructional packages to solicitors, along with relevant documents.
- Follow up with solicitors to ensure timely completion of mortgage files.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods.
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Competency in MS Office, with the ability to learn new technologies and systems.
- Fluency in both English and French is required.
