Job Summary:

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Environmental Field Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Field Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting environmental site assessments, groundwater monitoring, and sampling programs, as well as site investigations and remediation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental site assessments, including Phase I and II site investigations, to identify potential environmental hazards.
  • Collect and analyze groundwater samples to determine the presence of contaminants.
  • Conduct site investigations to identify potential environmental hazards and develop remediation plans.
  • Supervise drillers and other contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Complete field documentation, including job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, and field notes.
  • Work with project coordinators and managers to ensure projects are completed on time and budget.
  • Review and analyze data collected in environmental sampling programs.
  • Mentor and provide technical support to junior field staff as needed.
  • Travel to field sites, including remote locations, to conduct environmental assessments and sampling programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, geology, or civil engineering.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in environmental field work, including site assessments and sampling programs.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on downstream oil and gas sites.
  • 1+ year of experience in environmental field work.
