About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Sushi Koon. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in preparing and serving food to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
    • Scour pots and pans.
  • Food Handling and Storage
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Package take-out food.
    • Portion and wrap foods.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Customer Service
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
    • Take customers' orders.
  • Team Support
    • Assist other kitchen staff members as needed.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Details
  • Temporary work term.
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • English language required.
