About the Role

Chicko Chicken is seeking a skilled Food Processing Labourer to join our team in a meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for transporting raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials, as well as operating machinery and equipment to ensure efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials to and from production areas
  • Operate machinery and equipment, including mixing and grinding machines, forming machines, and conveyors
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
  • Feed and unload processing machines, and check products and packaging for basic quality defects
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, and clean machines and immediate work areas
Support for Newcomers and Refugees

As a Food Processing Labourer, you will also play a key role in supporting the settlement and integration of newcomers and refugees into our community. This may involve assisting with immediate settlement needs, such as housing and transportation, as well as providing support for social and labour market integration.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train on the job
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
