About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Processing Labourer to join our team at Chicko Chicken. As a Food Processing Labourer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Handling: Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout the facility.
  • Machine Operation: Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers, and remove filled containers from conveyors.
  • Packaging and Quality Control: Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, check products and packaging for basic quality defects, and assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • We offer support for newcomers and refugees, including assistance with immediate settlement needs and social and labour market integration.
Support for Indigenous People
  • We are committed to creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers and offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.

Work Environment
  • This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek.
